2020... the year I think everybody questioned at least once if they were going to survive or not. but as hard and different as it was, looking back our year truly was so GOOD. and I learned and grew so much. there were so many great things that happened for us, while also some very hard things we were faced with. looking back, I can see the purpose of it all and I'm so thankful for the year we were able to have.

here's a 'brief' recap:

January

looks like we started out the year with Chick-fil-a, not surprised.

went to a public play center where my kids touched everything. didn't think twice about it. clearly January had different plans than March haha!

I believe this must have been Blakely's late 3 year checkup... but honestly I can't even remember haha!

finished the month with a week full of family birthdays, including mine!

February

our house was finally fully framed and we couldn't wait for it to be finished!

ate bakery samples while grocery shopping

had to resist just eating her up, every single day

went to the dinosaur museum

got to see good friends!

loved on my best girls

we got to do a fun Valentines couple shoot with Shay Knudsen Photography. since having babies our photos have always really been about them so this was so fun!

went axe throwing for the first time

had a simple Valentines Day with my babes!

saw this view going up three flights of stairs many, many times💗 #girldad

being trapped in a small apartment resulted in lots of sister bonding

we went on our last date before COVID hit!

March

this month actually started out fairly well - we took our girls to disney on ice

and then both my girls caught some virus that lasted two whole weeks, I finally took them to the doctor on day 11 and literally as I was walking out our pediatrician jokingly said "thanks for not asking me to test them for coronavirus." ...and then that night the nba was suspended due to COVID. two days later we were in quarantine.

oh, and then we started having earthquakes. so, that wasn't a stressful week at all. ha ha!

we spent a lot of time in quarantine looking real good

we did lots of nails (can you tell our living quarters in the apartment were really starting to get out of hand?)

we went on lots of car rides

we fed the ducks

April

we celebrated a simple easter in the little ways we could - like with matching bunny shirts

I remember feeling so guilty that I let them sit on a public bench because I literally thought they would catch COVID from it. ha ha!

as the weather started to get nicer we spent a lot of time walking the Jordan River Trail

we finally moved into our HOME!!

we finally visited with family after a whole month of quarantine ... while making the little kids that played together wear masks. oh man.

slowly started to bust out the shorts
